CEDAR GROVE CONDOMINIUM POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS 2011

The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit all of homeowners and guests using the pool facilities. Your cooperation in adhering to these rules and regulations will be appreciated. Parents should inform their children and insure compliance of these rules and regulations for the safety of their children.

Winkler Pool Management, a licensed and qualified pool Management Company, manages the pool. Any questions concerning the operation of the pool by the pool management company should be forwarded to Professional Community Management Inc. at 410-721-0777, Ext 100.

ALL PERSONS USING THE POOL ARE REQUIRED TO PRESENT A PASS TO THE LIFEGUARD ON DUTY AND SIGN IN ON THE PROPER LOG SHEETS. PASSES WITH PICTURES WILL BE HELD AND RETURNED WHEN THE USER LEAVES THE POOL FACILITY.

SWIMMING POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The Cedar Grove at Crofton Condominium and Professional Community Management Inc. will not be liable, in any manner whatsoever, for personal injuries incurred by owners, tenants, or their guests, or any person using the pool against the rules and regulations. All persons using the pool, or bringing their personal property into the pool area does so at their own risk and assumes all responsibility for any loss or damage to any personal property of any kind.

  1. There will be no fee or charge for the use of the pool by homeowners or their tenants. Pool passes are available to all homeowners and tenants through Professional Community Management Inc. (ProCom). One seasonal guest pass will be issued to each unit. An additional seasonal pool pass may be purchased for each unit for $ 30.00 per season.  Resident pool passes and guest passes are not transferable and must be used by the individuals to whom issued. Additional one day pool passes are available at ProCom on the following fee basis:

  Saturday, Sunday and Holidays               $ 10.00 per person

Weekdays                                              $ 9.00 per person

The Board of Directors may limit the number of one day pool passes issued to each homeowner at its own discretion. Replacement of lost damaged or stolen pool passes will cost $ 10.00 to each homeowner or tenant. A homeowner or pool pass holder must accompany guests. Homeowners and tenants are responsible for the actions of their guests.

  1. No person shall use the pool until the pool is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty and in place.  The lifeguards have the discretion to ban any person from the pool facility for violation of these rules and regulations. All lifeguards have the authority to enforce these rules and regulations and have the discretion to contact the proper enforcement authorities if unlawful, disruptive, dangerous, or hazardous behavior is noticed. The lifeguards have the authority to stop any person from using the pool facilities for failure to produce a valid pass and to call the proper enforcement authorities if the person fails to leave the facility upon request. The lifeguard will forward a written incident report to the pool management company no later than the close of business of the date of incident with a copy forwarded to the community management company for potential Board of Directors action. The Board of Directors may provide sanctions up to suspension of pool privileges for the user and/or homeowner/tenant.

  1. Any unit owner in arrears over thirty days in condominium assessments may have their pool privileges suspended until the assessments are fully paid.

  1. Lifeguards shall refuse admission to anyone wearing bandages, with skin abrasions, contagious diseases, extremely inflamed eyes, infections, open sores, excessive sunburn, or nasal or ear discharges.

  1. All pool users must shower before entering the pool.

  1. Children must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older (who possesses a valid pool pass) at all times and must remain with the child the entire time they are in the pool facility.  In addition, adults shall remain with the child in the vicinity of the large pool when the child is in the pool, except with the permission of the lifeguard and with demonstrated ability to swim.  All adults accompanying children are responsible for the actions of the children in their care.

  1. Children with diapers or are not toilet trained are not permitted in the large pool.  Infants and children not toilet trained must wear tight fitting rubber pants or “ swim diapers”. In the event of fecal contamination, the pool will be closed in accordance with Health Department Regulations. Children with diapers are allowed in the wading pool.

  1. Children may use the wading pool only with accompanied by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must remain in the wading pool area with the child at all times. Children over the age of six are not permitted to use the wading pool.

  1. Adult swim times will be announced each hour by the pool lifeguards. During this period, all individuals under the age of sixteen must be completely out of the main pool. The adult swim time will be the last fifteen minutes of each hour. There will be no rest period from 7:45 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

  1. Persons unable to demonstrate to the lifeguards their ability to swim are not permitted to swim in deep water.

  1.  Running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, or causing undue disturbance in or about the pool facility, to include the shower and bathrooms, will not be tolerated. Spitting, spouting of water, blowing of nose or other unhygienic acts are forbidden in the pool. Chewing of gum is prohibited in the pool deck area. No person shall vandalize or otherwise damage the pool facility.

  1. Food is allowed at the pool only in designated areas. All refuse must be placed in the appropriate container provided for that purpose.  No glass bottles or containers are permitted on the pool deck or in the pool.

  1. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the pool facility.

  1. No street shoes are permitted on the pool deck. Only persons wearing proper swimming attire are permitted in the pool. Persons wearing cut offs are not permitted in the pool.

  1. The lifeguards will regulate the use of kick boards and all other swimming equipment not noted. Life preservers, inner tubes and water wings are not permitted at any time. For artificial floatation purposes, the only item that may be used is a US Coast Guard approved life vest. If a child utilizes this item, an adult must accompany the child in the main pool. Flotation mats and rafts are not permitted in the pool area at any time.

  1. No bicycles, wagons, skateboards, motorbikes, or other similar play equipment is permitted in the pool or on the pool deck. Baby strollers and baby carriages are not permitted within ten feet of the main pool.

  1. The lifeguard has the discretion to close the pool facility in the interests of safety and/or weather conditions. The pool facility may be closed for mechanical breakdown or operational difficulties. The lifeguard shall immediately contact the pool management company in the event of a pool closing noted above.

  1.  Radios, stereos, televisions or other electronic devices may be used on the pool deck as long as, if applicable; the noise volume is kept to minimum. All electronic equipment must be battery operated only.

  1. No pets are allowed in the pool facility.

  1. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the pool facility.

  1. Any personal injuries, however slight, must be reported to the lifeguard.

  1.  The Board of Directors may modify or change these regulations at any time.

IT IS URGED THAT EVERYONE USING THE POOL FACILITY DO SO WITH THE UTMOST CARE AND CAUTION TO AVOID ACCIDENT AND INJURY TO THEMSELVES OR OTHERS.
